JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Job Title: Music Director / Vocal Coach

Location: Pleasantville, NY and/or Yonkers, NY 

Overview:
Join our creative team as a Music Director / Vocal Coach for our on-going performing arts camps and productions! We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual who can bring the magic of music to life for young performers. 


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct music rehearsals, working closely with the director and choreographer to integrate music seamlessly into the production.  
  • Teach vocal techniques, harmonies, and performance skills to young actors/singers. 
  • Provide guidance and support to cast members during rehearsals and performances.
  • Offer small group and private lessons (preferred)
     

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Music Director or similar role in theatrical productions, especially working with children. 
  • Proficiency in vocal coaching and conducting rehearsals. 
  • Strong knowledge of musical arrangements and the ability to adapt music for children's performances. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Passion for working with children and nurturing their musical talents.
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in music education or related fields. 
  • Experience in theatrical productions geared towards children or family audiences.
  • Familiarity with stage production and technical aspects of musical performances.


Schedule: 

Production rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays in Pleasantville and Fridays in Yonkers from 4-6pm. Additionally, classes and private lessons may be offered based on. your availability.

Job Title: Pre-School Fitness and Performing Arts Enrichment Instructor

Location: Pleasantville, NY

Position Type: Part-Time

About Us: New York All Stars is a vibrant and nurturing environment where young children are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop physical coordination, and build foundational skills in a fun and supportive setting. We offer a variety of enrichment programs that combine fitness and the performing arts, designed to inspire a love of movement, music, and expression in pre-school-aged children.

Job Description:We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Pre-School Fitness and Performing Arts Enrichment Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, a background in fitness, dance, or performing arts, and the ability to create a joyful and engaging learning experience. You will be responsible for leading classes that combine elements of physical fitness, dance, music, and creative play, tailored specifically for preschoolers. Curriculum and training are provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead age-appropriate fitness and performing arts classes for preschool-aged children (typically ages 3-5).
  • Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable exploring movement and expression.
  • Teach basic skills in dance, gymnastics, creative movement, music, and/or theatre, incorporating playful activities and games.
  • Encourage physical activity and coordination through engaging exercises and routines.
  • Foster creativity, confidence, and social skills through interactive and imaginative play.
  • Maintain a positive and patient attitude, understanding the unique needs and behaviors of young children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and participation.
  • Set up and organize class materials and equipment before and after each session.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly in a teaching, coaching, or childcare setting.
  • Background in fitness, dance, performing arts, or a related field.
  • Ability to create a positive, engaging, and age-appropriate learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a love for working with preschool-aged children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and weekends, as needed.

  • Lead Teacher - $30/instructional hour, $20/admin hours

Kids Filmmaking Instructor 🎬
Location: Pleasantville, NY
Pay: $40/hour DOE
Schedule:

  • Summer Camp: Help Lead a 1- week small group camp (August 18-22nd)
     
  • Fall Weekly Class: 1-hour weekly session beginning in September with opportunity to help grow the program!
     

Are you a filmmaker or teaching artist who loves inspiring young creatives? We’re looking for an enthusiastic and organized Filmmaking Instructor to guide kids (ages 8–12) through the exciting process of writing, filming, and editing their own short films.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in filmmaking, acting, media, or education who enjoys working with kids and values creativity, collaboration, and storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small summer filmmaking camp where students create a short film from concept to final cut
     
  • Teach a 1-hour weekly class during the school year with the same project-based format
     
  • Introduce students to the basics of screenwriting, camera work, directing, acting for film, and video editing
     
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and creative environment
     
  • Help organize and showcase student work (e.g. film screenings or online premieres)
     

Qualifications:

  • Experience in filmmaking, film production, or media arts
     
  • Experience working with children in an educational or camp setting
     
  • Familiarity with basic video editing software (iMovie, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
     
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
     
  • Organized, patient, and flexible
     

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience with youth theater or after-school enrichment programs
     
  • Are available for additional creative programming or workshops throughout the year

Kids Comedy Club Instructor 🎭
Location: Pleasantville, NY
Pay: $40/hour DOE
Schedule: Tuesdays from 4:00–5:00 PM, beginning this fall with opportunity to help grow the program.
Program: Weekly comedy class with a culminating performance

Do you have a passion for comedy and a knack for working with kids? We’re seeking a dynamic and creative Comedy Club Instructor to lead a weekly class where students (ages 6–12) explore the art of improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy — all leading up to a final live performance.


This is the perfect opportunity for a comedian, actor, or teaching artist who loves helping kids gain confidence, find their voice, and make people laugh. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and teach a developmentally appropriate comedy curriculum that includes improv games, sketch writing, and stand-up structure
     
  • Lead weekly 1-hour sessions filled with energy, creativity, and laughter
     
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and playful environment where kids feel free to take risks
     
  • Direct students in a culminating comedy performance for family and friends
     
  • Collaborate with program directors to track student progress and prep for the showcase
     

Qualifications:

  • Background in comedy, theater, improv, or performing arts
     
  • Experience teaching or working with children
     
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
     
  • Reliable, fun, and high-energy

  • Studied or performed with improv or comedy institutions (UCB, Second City, etc.)

Job Title: Adult Enrichment Class Instructors

Position Type: Part-Time/Contract

Our goal is to offer high-quality classes that foster creativity, wellness, and lifelong learning in a supportive and dynamic environment. We are looking for talented and passionate instructors to join our team and contribute to our enriching course offerings.

Job Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Adult Enrichment Class Instructors for various disciplines, including fitness, art, dance, writing, theatre, martial arts, music, and technology. The ideal candidates will have expertise in their respective fields and a passion for teaching and inspiring adult learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for adult learners.
  • Teach classes in your area of expertise, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of participants.
  • Encourage and motivate students, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes.
  • Prepare and organize class materials and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit them in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with program coordinators, participants, and other instructors.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote the enrichment program and encourage community involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: fitness, art, dance, writing, theatre, music, or technology.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) for fitness instructors.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
