New York All Stars is a unique program that requires a team with specific skill sets. Most importantly, we seek candidates who share our passion for reaching students with fitness and performing arts enrichment programming. We believe that a holistic enrichment education maximizes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each student.

Job Title: Adult Enrichment Class Instructors

Location: Emanuel Lutheran Church, 197 Manville Rd. Pleasantville, NY

Position Type: Part-Time/Contract

Our goal is to offer high-quality classes that foster creativity, wellness, and lifelong learning in a supportive and dynamic environment. We are looking for talented and passionate instructors to join our team and contribute to our enriching course offerings.

Job Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Adult Enrichment Class Instructors for various disciplines, including fitness, art, dance, writing, theatre, martial arts, music, and technology. The ideal candidates will have expertise in their respective fields and a passion for teaching and inspiring adult learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for adult learners.
  • Teach classes in your area of expertise, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and skill levels of participants.
  • Encourage and motivate students, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes.
  • Prepare and organize class materials and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit them in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with program coordinators, participants, and other instructors.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Promote the enrichment program and encourage community involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: fitness, art, dance, writing, theatre, music, or technology.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) for fitness instructors.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

We focus on building confidence, strength, and technical ability in cheerleading, dance, and tumbling. Our team is committed to providing high-quality training and promoting a positive experience for all participants.

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tumbling Coach with a background in cheerleading and/or dance to join our coaching team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of tumbling techniques, and the ability to inspire and motivate athletes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tumbling training programs for athletes of various skill levels.
  • Teach proper tumbling techniques, ensuring safety and progression.
  • Conduct individual and group coaching sessions.
  • Assess athletes' skills and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with cheerleading and dance coaches to integrate tumbling skills into routines.
  • Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants during training sessions.
  • Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere in the gym.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assist with the preparation of athletes for competitions and performances.

Qualifications:

  • Background in cheerleading, dance, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of tumbling techniques and progressions.
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Job Title:  Cheerleading Coach

Location: 424 E. 241st St. Bronx, NY

Position Type: Part-Time

About Us: New York All Stars is committed to providing a fun, safe, and supportive environment for young athletes. We aim to build confidence, teamwork, and fundamental cheerleading skills in our participants. Our team is dedicated to promoting positive experiences and fostering a love for cheerleading in kids of all skill levels. While we do attend competitions our focus is on building a sense of community, teamwork, leadership and promoting wellness. Our teams include a Tiny All Star Exhibition Team, Mini Prep Level 1 and Jr. Prep Level 1.

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Beginner Cheerleading Coach with a background in working with kids. While prior cheerleading experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who has a passion for working with children and a willingness to learn. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, and able to create an engaging and encouraging environment for young athletes.

Schedule:

Saturdays September 7th-May 31st 9:00am-1:00pm plus performances and events (typically weekends). Occasional training dates.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and instruct beginner-level cheerleading team practices for children.
  • Teach basic cheerleading skills, including motions, jumps, stunts, and chants.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that fosters teamwork and confidence.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices.
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help each child improve.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress.
  • Assist with organizing and participating in showcases, performances, and events.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity.
  • Basic knowledge of cheerleading is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, positive, and patient personality.
  • Ability to motivate and engage young athletes.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment.

Job Title: All Star Dance Team Coach

About Us: New York All Stars is a premier fitness and performing arts organization, dedicated to excellence in performance based sports. We offer a dynamic and supportive environment where athletes can grow, excel, and achieve their highest potential. We are looking for a skilled and passionate coach with a background in All Star Dance (as in Varsity or other Spirit based events) to re-introduce All Star Dance to our program offerings. Dance teams will primarily attend Spirit Brands events, competing in the All Star Dance categories such as pom, hip-hop and jazz.


Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and motivated All Star Dance Team Coach to join our coaching staff and re-introduce all star dance to our program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all star dance, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to inspire and develop dancers of all levels. As an All Star Dance Team Coach, you will be responsible for choreographing routines, teaching technique, and preparing teams for performances and competitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Choreograph and teach high-quality, competitive dance routines for All Star Dance Teams. 
  • Develop and implement training programs to improve dancers' technique, strength, and performance skills.
  • Lead and supervise practices, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback and individualized attention to help each dancer progress.
  • Prepare teams for local events, parades and competition
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure consistency in training and performance standards.
  • Foster a sense of teamwork, discipline, and dedication among team members.
  • Communicate effectively with dancers, parents, and staff regarding schedules, expectations, and progress.
  • Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and choreography styles.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in competitive dance, with a strong background in styles such as jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary.
  • Previous coaching experience, preferably with All Star or competitive dance teams.
  • Strong choreographic skills and creativity.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire dancers to achieve their best.
  • Knowledge of competition rules, scoring, and industry standards.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Availability to travel for competitions and events.

We offer a variety of enrichment programs that combine fitness and the performing arts, designed to inspire a love of movement, music, and expression in pre-school-aged children.

Job Description:We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Pre-School Fitness and Performing Arts Enrichment Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, a background in fitness, dance, or performing arts, and the ability to create a joyful and engaging learning experience. You will be responsible for leading classes that combine elements of physical fitness, dance, music, and creative play, tailored specifically for preschoolers. Curriculum and training are provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead age-appropriate fitness and performing arts classes for preschool-aged children (typically ages 3-5).
  • Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where children feel comfortable exploring movement and expression.
  • Teach basic skills in dance, gymnastics, creative movement, music, and/or theatre, incorporating playful activities and games.
  • Encourage physical activity and coordination through engaging exercises and routines.
  • Foster creativity, confidence, and social skills through interactive and imaginative play.
  • Maintain a positive and patient attitude, understanding the unique needs and behaviors of young children.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and participation.
  • Set up and organize class materials and equipment before and after each session.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at all times.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly in a teaching, coaching, or childcare setting.
  • Background in fitness, dance, performing arts, or a related field.
  • Ability to create a positive, engaging, and age-appropriate learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a love for working with preschool-aged children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and weekends, as needed.
